Summary

Description
English: Based on the attributes depicted in the engraving, here are the gods that can be identified:
  • Zeus (Jupiter): The central male figure seated on the throne, holding a scepter. The eagle at his feet is one of his primary symbols.
  • Hera (Juno): The female figure seated next to Zeus on the throne, wearing a crown. She is the queen of the gods and Zeus's wife.
  • Poseidon (Neptune): The figure in the foreground holding a trident, the god of the sea.
  • Athena (Minerva): Standing to the right of the throne, she is wearing a helmet and holding a spear, symbolizing her role as the goddess of wisdom and war.
  • Ares (Mars): On the far left, a figure in full armor with a crested helmet and a large shield, representing the god of war.
  • Hermes (Mercury): Standing in front of Athena, he is identifiable by his winged cap (petasus) and the caduceus (a staff intertwined with two serpents) he holds. He is the messenger of the gods.
  • Aphrodite (Venus): The female figure to the right of the center, near Eros. She is the goddess of love and beauty.
  • Eros (Cupid): The small, winged figure with a bow and arrow next to Aphrodite, the god of love.
  • Hephaestus (Vulcan): Partially visible behind Ares on the left, holding what appears to be a hammer or tongs, representing the god of fire and blacksmiths.
  • Artemis (Diana): Standing behind Athena, she can be identified by the crescent moon on her head, symbolizing her as the goddess of the hunt and the moon.
  • Apollo: The figure to the left of Zeus playing a lyre is likely Apollo, the god of music, poetry, and the sun.
