English: Portrait of Françoise Madeleine d'Orléans (1648-1664), formerly identified as her mother-in-law Christine of France (1606-1663).
Français : "La personne représentée serait Françoise Madeleine d’Orléans « Mademoiselle de Valois », « la Colombine d’amour ». Elle ne ressemble pas à Marie-Jeanne-Baptiste de Savoie-Nemours. Ce ne peut-être non plus Christine de France, d’autant plus qu’il n’y aucune allusion à « Madame royale » et que l’on ne retrouve pas les bijoux favoris de Christine de France dont le pendentif cruciforme aux trois perles ou les boucles d’oreille aux trois perles. La physionomie du visage est très « Valois » ce qui n’est pas surprenant puisque Françoise Madeleine est la fille de Monsieur. (Philippe Raffaelli)" [1] |
