The Simony Act 1713[5] (13 Ann. c. 11)[2] was an act of the Parliament of Great Britain.
Subsequent developments
In the title, the words "for the better" to "England and, and the words of commencement in section 2 of the act, were repealed by section 1 of, and schedule 1 to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1948 (11 & 12 Geo. 6. c. 62), which came into force on 30 July 1948.[6] The whole act was repealed by section 1 of, and the part II of the schedule to, the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1971, which came into force on 27 July 1971.[7]
